“Minor Me” is a cubist performance music video made with RGBD Toolkit and Trapcode Form. diNMachine is a rock band formed by electronic composer Michael J. Schumacher. To capture their densely layered performance, I shot each musician with a depth camera and rendered them as distorted 3D models in a digital Cubist canvas.

The video for “Minor Me” is extremely entrancing. What inspiration is behind its colorful, collage-like visuals?
BB: RGBD TOOLKIT: The depth camera captures a 3D model, the RGB camera captures pixels, so the musicians are both real and computer generated. The parts were shot one at a time, from a tripod mounted double decker: Asus Xtion and GoPro Hero 3 Black. I was trying to unravel the density of the song’s parts and layer them in a cubist performance painting.
