So I almost gave up re-installing magic Lantern on my 5d mkiii. I was having some issues with the installation and later realized I was doing something wrong. I put on my thinking cap and gave it a go. It worked! I went down to Dana Point Harbor, a beautiful place in SoCal and shot over 50 GIGs of footage.
I was using an older Magic Lantern build because I had tried installing a latest build and had some issues with buffering. Surprisingly, I was able to shoot on a 600x card getting 1920x802 resolution, which is what I wanted. The workflow I have to say was a nightmare, not hard, but very time consuming. I get the RAW file, convert to .DNGs, then open in Photoshop, color grade a little, levels, etc. Save out as Tiffs, then open in QuickTime Pro as an image sequence, then save as a Pro Res 422 (HQ). It's a lot of work, but I think it's worth it, the colors are unreal. And you have so much latitude in post.
