This video looks at how poor fishing communities in the Southwestern parts of Bangladesh managed to graduate from extreme poverty through self-help credit groups. Unlike micro-credit groups, these self-help groups generate revolving fund as their capital. With the initial capital from the donors, the groups have now been able to become self-sufficient and self-managed local organisation with govt. registration.
