This Foodists.ca excursion to Fergie's in Brackendale, BC turned into an incredible adventure as Mark was invited on the Sunwolf Eagle Float. Home to the largest population of wintering bald eagles anywhere in the world, Mark got up close and personal with many of them as he floated down the Cheakamus river.
Being a Foodists.ca video, the main draw is always the food, however, the eagle viewing was so inspiring that the food element had to take a back seat. With that being said, we can't say enough about the fantastic food we enjoyed at Fergie's.
Best quotes from the final version of this segment:
"I can't help wonder what eagle would taste like." -Mark Busse
"I'm told that if I don't stop talking about the various ways to prepare and eat eagle, I'll be swimming back." -Mark Busse
Best quote that didn't make the final version of this segment:
"If I just lay down on the beach, how long it would take an eagle to realize that I'm pretty tasty?" -Mark Busse
