Frame by frame animation of water movement.
Prior to Christmas I had been making sense of Louise Bourgeois’s observation that a family is like a new pair of shoes. But in trying to move forward, I found my work had become futile. It was as though all the crevices and fissures of my mind were totally blocked. Yet this stagnancy enabled/opened me to consider the inconstant state of water and its ability to act as metaphor for the human mind. I read Virginia Woolf’s ‘The Waves’ , and began exploring these thoughts on a more complex scale. Rather than looking at bodies and beings from the outside, I am looking to represent the subjective notions of the body as a container.
