Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2014, the Old East Village Community Association asked founders Frank Filice and Greg Thompson to share some of their memories of the association's history including its inception and its subsequent trials and its triumphs. They gathered at Greg's home on Sunday, January 19th with videographer Paul Seale and Old East News volunteer Katie Stewart.
In OEVCA Founders Part I, they shared their initial impressions of the Old East Village.
In Part II, they recall the group’s early days of persistence despite some pushback from the city and even a few neighbours. As Greg says, “We wanted to get stuff done.”
