A day in Cancun is a short film depicting the different aspects of this paradise. It was shot in Cancun, Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya.
There are many more nice things to see and do over there, but unfortunately this was a business trip and didn't have more time to shoot everything I saw.
I used a Canon 7D with a Sigma 18-200 OS f/3.5-6 lens (there was plenty of light at the beach so this lens was good enough for the job), and one of my fave's: the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 for the night shots.
The project was edited on Premiere CS4 after transcoding the files to Cineform. Some minor color grading was done on the shots, and then everything was exported to 1080p Mpeg2, a wonderful format!
I'm getting better at those handheld shots (you can compare them with my previous short: A day in Santa Monica), but still need some sort of rig to get them right, since apparently I have a shaky hold with DSLR cameras.
Music is by the Mexican band "Café Tacuba".
Hope you enjoy it!
