Description: Building effective coalitions is a community-based, collaborative approach to prevention. Whether your community is rural, urban, state-wide or regional, best practices for coalition building can strengthen your efforts and increase sustainability of outcomes when addressing FASD and other substance abuse prevention issues. In “Building Coalitions to Achieve Outcomes - Part 2” we will focus on how to recruit and retain coalition members and how to prioritize the coalition’s activities. The Strategic Prevention Framework will be introduced as an effective process for working towards sustainable outcomes. Participants will have an opportunity to apply the webinar knowledge by committing to specific next steps in successful coalition building in their own communities.
