This Video is part of a set of 5 videos I shot, directed and edited for the French consulate in Shanghai to cover this event in 2013.
"Fete de la Musique" is a French concept born 30 years ago and which is promoted by French consulate in hundred countries nowadays.
"Fete de la Musique" idea is to bring music for free to people, in the street, in bar, club, restaurant, public place, everywhere...
Musique has to be free once in the year to give opportunity to amateur group to express themselves in front of a huge public and also to get some famous and local professional bands performing freely for a large audience.
This was the fourth edition of "Fete de la Musique" in Shanghai (China)
I also participated to the shooting of all previous editions, but this was the first time I was on my own, in charge of directing, shooting and editing the complete project to deliver 5 different videos.
To complete my own shooting, I got some added footage from different cameramen hired by local organizers as there was more than 40 events spread allover the city and I couldn’t be everywhere at the right timing.
I shot with my Panasonic AF103 and Lumix GH3.
My choice of lens was both Lumix (7-14mm f4, 12-35mm f2.8), Voigtlander 25mm f0.95, SLR Magic 12mm T1.6, Computar 75mm f1.4 and my usual Nikon 50mm f1.2 and 85mm f1.8.
If the public was often too dark and needed fastest aperture lenses, the band on stage were brightly lit by PAR LED.
