Organizer Tim West invited me to film Food Hackathon 2.0, the sequel to their April event. The venue was bigger and more beautiful, there were twice as many people and, best of all, there was way more food. Each meal was a full-course event, prepared by several talented chefs. With a global focus on feeding the next billion people, the Food Hackathon is finding its footing as a premiere tech event. Filmed with Anthony Worley, edited by me.
Filmed with Panasonic's digital single lens mirrorless cameras, the GH2 and GH1. With the unofficial firmware hacks, video was recorded at 24fps in 1080p. Stabilized by tripod, the Steadicam Merlin and Manfrotto 561BHDV-1, footage was filmed using the Lumix G Vario HD 14-140mm f4.0-5.8, Lumix G Vario 14-42mm f3.5-5.6, Lumix G 20mm F1.7, Minolta MD 50mm f1.7 and MC Minolta Celtic 135mm f2.8. Additional footage was filmed with the Canon 7D.
