Having established himself among municipal leaders as a leader himself on a wide range of issues, Dan McKee hopes to build upon relationships with municipal leaders to became an advocate for cities and towns as the Lt. Governor. There are many areas which shall require his attention as advocate and as one who gets things done. They include but are not limited to building communities which are safe and have good schools; consolidation of municipal services; tackling local and state tax issues, especially those which make RI more competitive with MA and CT; promoting municipal pension solvency and addressing health insurance benefits following retirement. Having founded the very successful Mayoral Academy, McKee is especially concerned about improving school system governance.
