Boys live in a forest with their teachers monks, who want to protect them from modern life and to make noviciates of them. As usual boys protest and just want to have fun.
The film is about a church boarding school placed in a former soviet pioneer camp. Both homeless children and those kids who have rich parents live there. They are brought up by monks from a nearby monastery. Discipline is quite tough because monks want to prevent any contacts with modernity, which is rather difficult to achieve. Boys pray, attend religious lessons and keep the house. Besides they make a forbidden do-it-yourself radio, run away to the neighbour countryside to buy ferial food like sausage and then they eat it in hut which is sort of a rebel base for them.
