Sea kayaking Barra, Mengele and other locations of the Outer Hebrides
This video was shot shortly after my return from a trip to Alaska and the Yukon Territories. Apparently i might have let myself go a bit. Check out the video bit in the tent, showed some primary school kids and they shouted "look its bigfoot"!
As with so much of Scotland it offers world class kayaking, canoeing, hiking, climbing etc. This trip coincided with a Force 8 and huge wind and waves. For perspective the waves images were shot in the lee of the island. We were storm bound and trapped, joined by surfing seals and other wildlife. Tent poles snapped, hydraulic max of tents were reached and tents were uprooted from the ground.
It is truly a stunning place to explore with remote islands, caves, gullies and golden sand. A real paradise.
