In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by genetic-disease a broken family is exiled into a dangerous wasteland. Their loyalty to each other is their only chance of surviving the wrath of the Queen of Diamonds.
The Queen of Diamonds is a thesis film completed in 2013. It is associated with National University and their MFA program in Digital Cinema. The film was developed through the course work of the Master's Thesis track at National and directed by Thesis fellow Michael Ballestero. The film was shot on a budget of less than six-thousand dollars, on Cannon 5DMKII cameras and completed with eight shooting days.
