I first met Resi Stiegler when she was on her way recovering from first major injury. It was in the spring of 2008 and have fallen more and more in love ever since. Never have I seen anyone train for something so hard, get hit with a bat and keep getting up and going for it again and again. Never taking no as an answer. Never looking back, just keeping the eye on the prize.
This year will mark the 50 year anniversary since her father Pepi Stiegler won a gold medal at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck in Slalom. He did it against the odds as well, imagine if this girl won it too. Now that would be a story.
To see her accomplish her goal of being on the US Olympic Team for Sochi just fills my heart with joy. That girl from Jackson Hole, has a spirt of gold, a dream, a fierce desire, and talent beyond your wildest imagination. Set the world on fire! Against the odds, On your way.
