This opening title sequence for the film 'Beasts of the Southern Wild' is a representation of the subject areas the film deals with. The perspective of the film is a 6 year old girl's and outlook on the aftermath of Hurricane Katerina and the damage it did to the flatlands of New Orleans. The parallax in each of the shots represents this idea of shifting horizons and change of focus. This calm still atmosphere that leads you into the film is interrupted with the first scene where the storm begins.
The colour scheme throughout the titles sets the scene of traquality, whilst the type choice gives a slightly unerving uncomfortable feeling.
