The ballpark is located at the edge of St. Paul’s vibrant Lowertown arts district of 19th century warehouses that transitions into the natural amenities of riverfront parks and trails. With the seating bowl below the street level and the suite level hovering above concession stands, the ball park forms a low slung and porous wall, allowing glimpses of the historic warehouse from within the park. Powerful skyline views from the outfield as well as river views from the suite level make it a truly St. Paul park. In replacing a former manufacturing use, the ballpark has opened vistas from surrounding neighborhood into the historic district. The design allows use of the park on non-game days connecting Lowertown to the natural park amenities to the east. Skating rinks, movie nights, concerts and other community celebrations will further integrate the city, the district and the park.
