Hiking C&O Canal: Oldtown to North Branch

Hiking the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal towpath from Oldtown Lock 70 past Battie Mixon's Pond, Pigmans Ferry Campground, Turner Ashby's Attack, Spring Gap Campground, Ten Mile Lock 72, and Irons Mountain Campground to Lock 75 in North Branch. The structural highlight was the only steam pump on the C&O Canal.

The #FlowerPorn includes Atlantic goldenrod, hollow joe-pye weed, sweet-scented joe-pye weed, woodland lettuce, Amur honeysuckle, butterfly milkweed, chicory, Allegheny monkeyflower, woodland sunflower, summer phlox, purple loosestrife, New York ironweed, crimson-eyed rosemallow, thistle, yarrow and ... {deep breath} ... dandelion.
