The last steam train out of Conway, NH has its title because the 2013-2014 winter saw what might be the last running of this 100 year old steam train for quite some time. The train's boiler system has to be rebuilt and the cost will be around one million dollars. There's a possibility that the locomotive will be able to get an extension, but if not, the engine cannot be used until it's boiler is rebuilt. That one million dollar cost is a bit steep for the railroad company that owns this Montreal built locomotive, so it may have run for the last time.
Well, in fact, the locomotive got a last minute reprieve from the authorities that regulate steam locomotives and the engine was out again in early January 2015 for one more final run. You can see it here in another video.vimeo.com/116367027
