In 2012, Madi Piller put together an amazing historical document - a film called "Animated Self-Portraits" that brought together 1 second looping self-portraits by over 80 independent Canadian animators. I was much honoured to be asked to contribute and am still floored by the company I got to keep by my inclusion. All interpreted "self-portrait" in their own way (as well as, in some cases, "1 second" and "looping"). The result was unique, fascinating, and really entertaining. It is currently not available on Vimeo (or I would link you) but please seek it out if you get a chance.
My little contribution, shown here, was a quick multi-media piece animated with a photocopier though it was shot properly registered under camera for Madi's film.
For those wondering: the cool beat under it is the opening of "Yeh Yeh" by Matt Bianco.
