A+C Studios is an animation production studio, specialising in traditional lens based animation. However, there is nothing traditional about our work! We love to combine hand crafted and original stop motion techniques with new and experimental ideas and design. With our dedicated in-house stop motion studio and creative team, we can efficiently execute projects from initial brief to final production.

Russell: The reason for the campaign was to raise the awareness of local newspapers, in the wellbeing of their local communities, and the role that they have, as a focal point, in each community throughout the UK.

Liu: A+C were really excited about this project because it was an opportunity to put together a big animation that was going to be seen by a huge number of people, with it going out on both T.V. and across all the local newspapers around the country. Stop motion was really perfect for this project because it uses traditional techniques and mediums that a lot of people are aware of from their childhood or things that they've grown up with, which tied in really well with the nostalgia a lot of people feel about their local newspapers.

Russell: Animation for us brought a relatively simple message to life in a very visual way and easily understood way I think in terms of highlighting the message that local newspapers have within their local community.
