I had the privilege of visiting Antigua Guatemala and some of the surrounding villages summer of 2013. Here are some of my favorite faces.
- Libni and her community development projects providing vocational training for women in the villages.
- Edgar the painter. A missionary gave Edgar a paint set when he was a little boy. He taught himself to paint these amazing masterpieces. He supports his family with his work and hopes to go to college for architecture one day.
- The Lopez-Hernandez family. They build coffins for a living. They were built a house by Education Plus Development sponsored by Lynn Jordan. They are doing extremely well now, nearly a year after their house was completed. The kids are doing better in school and overall their standard of living has increased a lot.
- Sori and Andrea who are native Guatemalans and the hired on social workers for Education Plus Development. Although, Education Plus Development has dissolved, these girls still continue to be a light in their communities and I am proud to call them my friends.
