LIVING LABOUR is a journey through the corporate city of prefab homes erected to accommodate migrant workers along the Rotterdam-Venlo corridor. Conceiving housing as the simulacrum of vacation places enables employment agencies to dissimulate their 24/7 surveillance. Polish, Spanish, Roma and other migrants live isolated within quiet forests surrounded by an impressive network of highways and gigantic logistic boxes. Sometimes, workers emancipate themselves from agencies’ yoke.
