The City of Vancouver just shut down one of Julien Thomas' most treasured projects: a park he built into a traffic circle in East Vancouver. Em and I take a look at what the issues around the use of space in Vancouver, what the park meant to the neighbours, and to the artist himself.
UPDATE: as of February 22, 2014, the Mayor's office has reversed the decision made by Engineering Services. The coffee circles shall continue.
