Cutbacks In Healthcare Are Putting Lives At Risk
Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth is currently the only place in west Wales where new mothers have access to antenatal care. But a proposed closure of Bronglais' midwife-led unit (to make room for a consultancy-based unit) threatens the future of this service for babies and their families, who will be faced with a two-hour journey to either Carmarthen in the south-west and Bangor in the north, if it goes ahead. Cutbacks in healthcare affect everyone in Wales, and the infrastructure of public transportation and roads in mid Wales only add to our growing problems. Please vote for this idea, so that we can come together with passion to create an Assembly around this issue.
