DFL Community Call: The Data Nutrition Project

The September Data Futures Lab Community Call featured The Data Nutrition Project, an initiative that takes inspiration from nutritional labels on food and aims to build labels that highlight the key ingredients in a dataset such as meta-data and populations, as well as unique or anomalous features regarding distributions, missing data, and comparisons to other ‘ground truth’ datasets.

They are a current grantee of the Data Futures Lab, selected as an example of a tool that enables a higher level of transparency in the data ecosystem.
