Any morning spent on Mobile Bay catching blue crabs is a good morning. Through the eyes of multigenerational crabber Tim and acclaimed chef Chris Hastings, we witness the beauty of the bay and how the waters are recovering from the devastation of the oil spill in 2010.
Water courses through the veins of Captain Tim who is more comfortable on the water and claims, “I think my momma had a crib out there on the boat for me when I was little." Chris, having grown up fishing on a creek near his family's homestead as a boy, says if he hadn't decided to become a chef, he would have somehow made a living from the water too.
"The Mobile Blues" showcases the relationship between supplier and chef and the mutual respect they have for each other.
