Beit Al- Qalb (Home of the Heart) is fictional story, which tackles many issues that face Egyptian society.
The main character is Zeinab, who lives in a family which shifts to extremist beliefs. The struggle she faces however, is a struggle that 98% of all Egyptian girls must face at an early age, namely FGM (Female Genital Mutilation). The conflicts she faces between what her parents believe is best for her and her own faith in God are put to the test.
This film is a reflection of a severe issue, most girls must face.
We hope to reach out as part of all awareness campaigns to stop FGM.
