Introduction to Sri Sathya Sai Baba: I was born and raised in New York City.I was first introduced to Sri Sathya Sai Baba through a friend of my mothers. She taught meditation and recommended various books on spirituality. One of them was a book called "Baba" by Arnold Schulman. A bell went off for me and I realized I had found my spiritual teacher. I studied his teachings on my own over the next nine years. In 1986 in February for my 36th birthday my mother and I made our first trip to see Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I returned almost every year and some years went twice a year until my mother's passing in 2009. I have been back five times since then.
At Prashanti Nilayam: I had the opportunity to serve as a volunteer in the General Hospital during festivals. This started in the late nineties and continued for several years. It was a beautiful experience. I was living in Spain at that time and had regular Sathya Sai Baba meetings at my house for many years. In 1991 in a group interview I was blessed to present a little book my mother and I had made for Swami to him.It was then available in the ashram.
My Work: I am an artist and a "Cutting The Ties " facilitator. I have studied at the Art Students League in NYC and was part of a group exhibition there with artists from my family. I have been a facilitator of Phyllis Krystal's method since the early 90's. I have taught the method in Spain, UK, Denmark, US and India. This is my seva. I am currently finishing an illustrated version of the Ramayana.
My Life Now: I moved to West Virginia in 2009 and am currently the vice-president of our little Sathya Sai Baba group here. I continue to travel to Baba's and to give workshops on "Cutting the Ties That Bind". I have three grown children and two grandchildren.
