In the first race, Cudlin who started from the pole position, took the lead from the start of the race and crossed the checkered flag with a gap of 8.054 ahead Mishal Al Naimi.' I am very happy with the race, the result was what we planned. At the beginning, I was able to create a gap on the first three laps and maintain it, so I managed to look behind to see where Mishal , Saeed and Nasser to see where they were and increase the lead to 10 second, and from there, I stayed until the end. For sure in the second race, Nasser and Mishal will be faster'. Cudlin said after the podium.
The second place was for Mishal Al Naimi with a Honda bike. ' I am happy with the result as yesterday I was very slow in the free practices but in the qualifying session I changed the tyres and it was better, but today I found the bike too much hard at the beginning and I tried to follow the other rides but I couldn't go faster than my normal pace. In the last 5 laps I felt the bike working better and secure the second place.' Al Naimi stated after the race.
The third place in the podium was for Nasser Al Malki who had some problems with his BMW S1000RR ' I had various problems with my bike and I almost crashed several times, so I slowed down my rhythm all the race and try to make a smooth race. My bike was not available to fight so I kept my speed and line to finish in the podium. Hope we can fix it for the second race' Al Malki said after the race.
The german rider Nina Prinz had a crash with his Suzuki bike in the turn 10 in the middle of the race but fortunately she managed to join again and ended in 8th position.
Regarding the LARRS category, the winner was the Chinese rider Yuan Jibo who finished in the nine position overall ' I felt very good in the track and it was a nice race. I would like to thank QMMF for this chance' the LARRS winner said after the race. The second place in the LARRS podium was for Yasas Rahamat ' This is my first race in Qatar and with a R6 bike. The weather was a bit hot to but finally I managed to finish second in my category and I am happy with this result being my first race in Qatar' the Indonesian rider said.
The leader of the LARRS , Manca Katrasnik ended in the third place in her category. 'I am very happy with the race as my time was much better than yesterday, and I didn't expect such a good result. It was a tough race as all were very close but overall I am happy and the bike worked perfectly' the woman rider Manca said after the podium.
Trophies were given by Mr. Rashid Al Sulaiti, QMMF Public Relations Manager and Mr. Bambang Guinardi.
In the second race, Alex Cudlin also took the lead from the start and gave no chance to the other riders to overtake him. The results in the podium were the same as in race 1 with Cudlin in the top and Al Naimi and Al Malki second and third respectively. 'It was a really good race, I knew that if I lead the race from the beginning I could win the race easily, by long distance as I didn't want to fight in the beginning of the race, so I made my move in the corner 10 in the first lap. Same as in race 1, I kept an eye to the guys and when they came closer I pushed again.' Cudlin said.
'I am very happy with my two podiums today as this is very good for the championship. I tried to push hard and go closer to Alex but I couldn't go faster as I had some problems with my clutch and I hope in the next races to be closer with Alex. Thanks to my sponsor Ooredoo and my mechanics'. Al Naimi stated at the end of the podium.
'The second race was better but the wind started to be different and also the bike didn't help me as still had some problems. Even my lap time was better it was not enought to be in front. I want to thank my sponsor Al Rayyan channel and hope next race I can be in the front'.
In the LARRS, the first place was for the Indonesian rider Yahas Rahmat and second place was for Yuan Jibo from China. Manca Katrasnik ended again third in the podium.
