REMOVABLE PARTS - a series of love songs about voluntary amputation - was premiered at HERE Arts Center in NYC performed by Corey Dargel (voice) and Kathleen Supove (piano). The director is Emma Griffin. The production designer is Raquel Davis. This video combines footage from the performance and dress rehearsal. In this song, "Fingers," the pianist and singer are having an argument. The singer wishes to amputate his fingers, but the pianist does not support him. The singer has invited the pianist to empathize with his affliction by playing her instrument while wearing finger splints. Consequently, aside from "tap dancing" on the keys, the piano sounds are accidental, the result of striking the keys too hard.
