Dr Adriana Downie from Pacifica Pyrolysis talks about the technology they are commercialising.
Their slow pyrolysis technology produces both energy and biochar and thus not only does it produce bioenergy, it also produces a biochar that can be used horticulturally a soil ameliorant to increase soil productivity.
This interview was filmed at the 2011 Bioenergy Australia Conference, and is based on a presentation given at that conference.
The Bioenergy Australia website bioenergyaustralia.org/ provides authoritative information on bioenergy, including interviews with experts on many aspects of biomass and bioenergy.
