This is a digital artifact final project for the World Bank facilitated eCourse Turn Down the Heat: Why a 4°C Warmer World Must be Avoided. I have produced this photostory to illuminate a critical yet under discussed aspect of climate change: tipping points and critical thresholds for impacts. The Republic of Vanuatu is already experience impacts of this type, which are highlighted in the artifact. Local, and often traditionally-based adaptation strategies can help to minimize impacts. The information presented comes from a variety of sources and publications of the Vanuatu Department of Meteorology and Geohazards, the World Bank and the IPCC.
