It's time to put my running shoes back on as I'm running the Beaumont half marathon in March. I had initially planned to run this race to prove a point to myself that I'm all better after several months of illness and operations at the end of 2013. However, last month I was 8 weeks into a 14 week training plan when I decided that I wouldn't be ready to race.
However last week (beginning of Feb) my Godmother Sue passed away from ALS. I've run several races and challenges since her diagnosis to raise money for ALS charities and I want to run next month in her memory.
ALS is a disease that can affect anyone and does not have a cure. Please donate as much as you can to help care for people with ALS, providing technology that will make their life more comfortable, and to help fund research to find a cure.
