In 1998 world renown artist Bill Reid died after struggling with Parkinson's Disease for more than three decades.
With two weeks notice Rogers TV put together live coverage of a tribute for Bill Reid. What was supposed to be a three hour live event at the Museum of Anthroplogy at the University of British Columbia became a seven hour tribute.
From this memorial I put together this one hour of memories and recollections from the many people who spoke about how Bill Reid touched their lives. Many thanks to the numerous broadcasters and independent documentary producers who donated their footage of Bill Reid that became part of this final project. I would like to acknowledge Vicki Gabereau who hosted this documentary, Herb Auerbach for guidance and support and Furio Sorrentino for his technical and creative input.
If you scroll down the page you will see photos of some of the many individuals who spoke at the memorial.
