Even with more than 1000 acres of terrain to cover, when skiers need help on the hill, Ski Patrol can be there in minutes. The reason they're able to respond so quickly and effectively is because of what goes on behind the scenes in the dispatch office.
Dispatchers keep track the locations of all patrollers and equipment on the mountain throughout the day, coordinate responses to calls, and help manage the First Aid Center.
In this episode we go behind the scenes with Ski Patrol dispatcher Peg.
