Daniel Arruda is a Brazilian composer / musician who resides in Berlin. His own personal mix of rythmic acoustic guitar, a warm & captivating voice, has created his own brand of sound which he calls "Nova Musica Popular Brasileira"(NMPB) meaning "New Wave of Brazilian Folk Music". A mixture of Bossa Nova, Samba, and Global sounds
His poetic songs reflect his experiences & travels beginning in Brazil and later leading him to Europe. The compositions have a South American base yet are fused with African & European elements.
Recently, he has composed music for a children´s book "Der Kleine Medikus" which has drawn much attention in Germany and is currently a play touring Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

I am at heart a photojournalist but recently very excited about video / filmmaking. I recently completed a MAGNUM IN MOTION workshop in Berlin at the Neue Schule für Fotografie and look forward to posting more music videos / photo essays on vimeo.
