In 2013, the sectarian violence in Myanmar has spread all around Myanmar (Burma). At least 240 people were killed. The killings came amid the rapid spread of an apartheid-like movement known as '969' with nationalist monks playing a central role. More than 150,000 people, mostly Muslims were displaced. They are now concentrated in camps guarded by the security forces with little hope of returning to their old lives.
