In this side-by-side video, the quadrotor is exploring the space behind and beyond the platform that collapsed, on which the black 1962 is resting, nose down. On the left you see the pilot Will Johnson and the operator of the flashlight Joel Lenoir, and on the right you see what the camera sees. Notice that most of the humans are harnessed and roped, since at that stage of the investigation, no one knew whether the sinkhole had finished growing and no one was sure about the stability of the remaining floor sections.
The quadrotor was piloted by mechanical engineers Will Johnson and Zach Lancaster, while the on-board camera was operated by Darren Tinker and Jesse Reesor. Professor Joel Lenoir and engineering technician Troy Robertson provided technical support and safety consulting. Troy Robertson shot the auxiliary footage on his iPhone.
