The pieces in this collection are digital portraitures of villains, monsters and marauders. The beauty of the portrait is it’s ability to provide for an in depth analysis of a person, creature or or sentient being. Widened eyes, pursed lips or the wrinkles of the brow reveal volumes on emotion and intention.

Each piece exhibits a dualism, a balancing act between a nefarious character and a playful aesthetic. The portraits delicately blend comical shapes and hard graphic lines, with photographic textures and realistic depiction. This collision of styles, combined with the subject matter seeks to create a dichotomy within its viewers. The work aims to bring fourth an uneasy clashing between the attraction to, and repulsion from. Allow the piercing stares and broken faces to conflict with the beautiful texture and unusual relationships. Explore the rogues, their expression, their distress, and watch as their story reveals itself before you. The term Rogues gallery is used figuratively to describe any grouping of tenebrous characters lined up and presented for display. Since the creation of comic book superheroes, it has been used to describe the reoccurring foes of various heroes. For a short time only, I allow you access to the diabolical rogues I have encountered on my fantastic travels.
