I completed the restoration of a beautiful Thorens TD160 from 1972. Tuned the suspension, changed the belt, oiled main platter bearing, polished the main platter, completely rewired the audio line and the grounding, updated the cartridge to a Denon DL-110, new Audio-Technica lead wires, new rubber feet, and all necessary tuning of the tonearm (VTA, Azimut, Anti Skating).
Here's a quick test to showcase the stability of the tracking while pushing the platter suspension to the limit. A beautiful piece of engineering, and an absolutely outstanding sound! With everything tuned, it is quite mind-blowing to see a 1972 turntable deliver such outstanding sound. The Denon DL-110 is absolutely a stunner. It is super silent, I did not know that one could get close to zero tracking noise on a vinyl.
