These were two of only a few runnable rapids on Boulder Creek at 800 cfs. Although boulder was experiencing a 1000-yr rainfall event, the creek only made it up to about the 50-year level. Unfortunately the magnitude of the storm was not known yet when we were out on this day, but paddling was a small benefit of such an unfortunate event. My thoughts go out to all of those who were affected by the storm.
