Watch this a couple of times and then try it yourself! It's really very easy!
Being sure you are holding your yarn correctly - see our previous video - you have your hook in your right hand. The hook is right-most, and the slipknot and yarn are to the left of your hook. You loose end is dangling down with nothing to do!
Hook your yarn so you have your slip knot and the one strand of yarn over your hook. Use the hook to slowly and gently pull the top (just-hooked!) strand of yarn down towards the loop of the slip knot and THROUGH the slip knot loop. You just made a chain.
Repeat :: hook your yarn over the hook and slowly pull down and THROUGH the bottom loop (the one nearest your right hand) on the hook. Continue on making the required amount of chain stitches!
