I’m working at the annual RSA Conference, and I wanted to provide my clients with some unique perspectives of their handiwork. So I did some flying with the big copter after hours (very late at night with nobody but the security staff around). All video was shot with the 5D Mark III at 1/50 f5 ISO2000 with the EF 17-40L lens. No post stabilization (other than one clip of flying close to the carpeted floor, which I believe caused some static electricity, causing the gimbal to shudder a bit...or it could just be turbulence). Anyway, it’s a lovely combination of tools, and the results IMHO speak for themselves. The gimbal is a homemade design with an Alexmos controller, direct 5108 motors on tilt and roll, and a direct 8017 motor on pan (disabled for these flights).
