Short Ride in a Fast Chihuahua (2014) is a sound installation for Disklavier and toy dog.
My toy chihuahua always barks 26 times in a row. Fifteen composers contributed about 60 very short scores, each 26 beats long. A computer program (written in Processing) monitors the yapping and plays back the scores in synchrony on a Disklavier robot piano.
Short Ride in a Fast Chihuahua premiered at the Qubit Machine Music festival in NYC, February 2014: qubitmusic.com/machine-music.html
