Lorenzo takes the first boat early in the morning from the port of Piraeus. He arrives at Parikia the harbor of Paros at about 11:00. He strolls around the picturesque old settlement of the village and visits Ekatodapiliani the church with the hundred doors, the cathedral of Parikia.
He continues by taking kitesurfing lessons at Pounta, a beautiful western beach overlooking the island of Antiparos. Then he drives his motorcycle to the village of Marpissa. There he chills out at Charoula’s tavern, drinking his cold beer and tasting delicious homemade food. To end his full day he decides to take a late afternoon swim at Lageri, one of the most beautiful beaches of Paros. There he experiences one of the most beautiful sunsets.
The next morning he explores the most important site in Paros. The ancient marble quarries in the village of Marathi. He visits the workshop of one of the last sculptors of Paros and watches him making Cycladic idols. Then he finds himself in a rare green oasis of the island at Agios Arsenios in Afkoulaki. After his refreshing walk he goes to Noe’s pottery workshop and sees how ceramics are made. After such long day he needs some fuss. He goes for an evening visit at the famous picturesque harbor-village of Naoussa where he strolls around and completes his second day on the island.
The third day Lorenzo decides to see Paros from sea. He rents a kaiki, a traditional Greek fishing boat and sails out to Agios Spyridonas rock island which has the coolest turquoise waters. He dives and swims and enjoys a full summer day out in the sea. He ends his day and his vacation at the mountainous Kostos village at the place of Pandelis Zoumis. A local organic farmer, wine maker, blacksmith and amateur folk musician who lives in a Katikia, an old well preserved farm house and makes wine the old fashion way.
