The Drinker Biddle Customs & International Trade Team is hosting a series of webinar presentations that will focus on key trade issues impacting the movement of goods across international boundaries.
Washington, D.C. counsel Richard P. Ferrin presented the first webinar titled, “Primer on Department of Commerce Scope Rulings” on February 27, 2014. This webinar reviewed:
● the process for requesting rulings from the Department of Commerce (DOC) to determine whether a product is outside the scope of an antidumping or countervailing duty order;
● examined the DOC’s review criteria and available alternatives to a formal scope ruling; and
● walked-through how importers can best protect themselves when a potential scope issue arises.
