Valemount is the meeting spot of the Cariboo, Monashee and Rockies ranges. The mighty Fraser starts just East of Moose Lake, the only lake the Fraser flows into and out of on its 1375 km journey to the Pacific.
Mount Robson, at 3954 m, is the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies. It takes a good measure of luck to see it without some cloud swirling around it, when it happens the view up the south side is absolutely awesome.
