---Credits below description of An Agreeable Sound---
"An Agreeable Sound " is a video series I am working on. The concept is how some "good" and some "bad" music from the 1980's can make people from my generation feel. A certain song can make you think of the seventh grade dance or even just driving around in the old family car with your dad. The 80's were a big chunk of our childhood and every once in a while it is nice to go back to that place.
It has been a long time since I have had the time to make a new episode and I was really looking forward to start this one. The shoot was at Harmony and Justin's beautiful house and it was the perfect location. Some great people came to hang out and help make this episode .
HARMONY SULLIVAN - She is perfect for this series because she is super fun and up for anything . Harmony nailed a fantastic performance with great energy . She was really good at taking direction and came up with some great ideas during the shoot.
SABINA - She has to be one of the cutest little girls on the planet . I think she thought she was dreaming when we were telling her it was ok to throw food. She was hesitant at first but then she started having a lot of fun with it.
SKIP DAYAK (MY BROTHER) - We have had countless hours of conversations about Phil Collins and music in general . I knew he would be the perfect guitar solo playing mailman and he was. Skip did a great job on the day of the shoot and played the part beautifully .
JUSTIN CUMMINGS - Justin is one funny dude . He didn't even hesitate when I told him my idea for his cameo . He was also the dog whisperer to Nugget. When Justin was taking Sabina for her nap and she was crying I yelled for him to set her on the steps really quick so I could get some footage . It was wrong how much enjoyment two grown men got watching a child cry but it was only because we both knew how great the footage was.
NATE HOWELL- He is one of my favorite crew members to have around for many reasons. Nate is great to bounce ideas off of and I know I can count on him to take care of some details so I don't have to worry about them. He helped a lot on this episode but his main thing was making the guitar lower to my brother and he did an awesome job with it.
SARAH DAYAK - The fact that my wife has so much fun helping with these episodes makes me happy. She helped a lot with Sabina and she was the other side of the guitar as it lowered . Also she was the seamstress and needed to make some modifications to the mailman uniform.
AMY GARBARK- Amy was great with her niece Sabina and getting her to do things so that was a huge help. I really like having Amy around too because of her photography background if I need an opinion on a shot's composition or exposure.
STEEVO CUMMINGS - He was only there shortly , I think to make sure I was doing everything right. Even for a short time it is always cool to have him around.
GARRET JONES - I asked Garret to stop by my house during post production because he knows his shit. He gave me some tips on color correction because it is usually a step I skip because I don't find it fun. Garret helped just fine tune a few things without getting to crazy about it.
BREDE YOUNG - Thanks for having a smoke machine for some reason and for letting me borrow it.
KELLY YANN and ZACH MOORE - Thanks for lending me the mailman shirt , I will return it soon... I promise .
