This short film depicts what being a ‘Queen’ means to 3 generations of black women. Although I do not believe in nor do I condone separatism, as a filmmaker I feel it is essential to be able to eloquently address common taboos such as race relations and the ‘Angry Black Woman’. This is done in the hopes that understanding will replace ignorance as we continue to grow stronger as one collective consciousness. I attribute all that I am to my grandmother whom I love with all my heart. May you rest peacefully knowing that you have helped shape generations of beautiful Queens.
